Again, for the 3rd time in 4 days I've gotten a call from our managed hosting provider regarding some issue at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Data center housing our servers. This time their power gird went down in Dallas and generators had to take over for utility power. The problem they experienced was that the backup chillers weren't starting up as designed. Needl;ess to say they had a temperature problem in the facility and had to contact customers to let them know that they planned on shutting down a bunch of machines to keep the place cool. Ugh! we had to run our site on one front end and one back end RPC server along with the db's2 naked. As luck would have it, loads were low so we got away with it. Lets hope this doesn't happen again!

Been busy with family and apartment stuff. My nephew is off to the navy.
And his mom, my sister, just turned 38 so we had a big family
get together and party here in my apartment -the 'old family pad'. Lots of friends, family, food, and fun.

Spring feels like its around the corner. today we are in the 50's.
But snow is looming in our future.
